Rising up again

A few of us gathered for worship in Sun Valley. The father of the house was bed ridden for a few months. We began to praise and worship Jesus. In Spirit we saw Jesus walk down the hall of the house to the end and turn right. We did not know that is where the father was in bed. Th Lord said, “Have I not promised, and will I not accomplish it? I came to destroy the works of the devil.” We walked back to his room and greeted him in the name of Jesus and asked him to look at us. “In the name of Jesus Christ we command your healing and tell you to rise up.” You could literally see faith wash over him. He grabbed a hand and rose out of the bed. He began to confess what the Spirit had been doing and speaking in his heart. This elderly man wept as he realized Jesus had come to bring him into Himself, to give him the intimate relationship he had been seeking his whole life. He was baptized and received the Holy Spirit. It was so very beautiful.

Freedom in the Streets

We worshipped God in the street singing Revelation song and then walked and saw a “Rasta” looking man who is a believer. He got saved in prison. He had some “interesting” understanding of scripture but he had a sincere heart. We prayed for him and then two other young ladies joined and we prayed for them to be free of addictions and shared Jesus. I then bumped into a lady who was a former prostitute and now car guard and we told her that she needs to be in Christ and ended up baptizing her in the street. Also prayed for her to receive the peace of God. She was completely overwhelmed by God’s peace and joy and began to laugh as she asked to receive the Holy Spirit- where before she was burdened by all kinds of stress and worry. We witnessed two other men get baptized and freed from possession and addiction – praised God and prayed for a few other people and watched God move them to tears as He healed their hearts and set them free! Jesus is alive!

Finding Home Again

At an outreach one night in the city centre, I met a girl who was living on the streets. Starting a casual conversation with her it turns out that she has met with Jesus before but then her circumstances chanced, she made some bad choices and now feel ashamed to even speak to Jesus. I asked her if she wanted to speak to Him again, she can pray, and I will pray with her. Her shame and guilt prevented her, so I said that I will then start the prayer and then she can continue… It was such a sweet moment when her heart opened to Him again and she could tell Him how sorry she was and how desperately she needed Him and how she missed Him. After the prayer she mentioned that back home she was a singer in her churche’s worship team. I felt to ask her what was her favourite song and she said, it is ” God – my Healer”. I then took her to the worship leader present at that outreach and asked him if he knew that song so he could play it. He started to play it on his guitar. The girl joined him and as the tears freely flowed over her face she declared through singing that God is indeed her Healer as. She found her way back! Thank you Jesus!

Divine Appointment

We met a group of girls walking on the beach last night, which was quite odd since it was so late at night. When we approached them they were very receptive to us (again not usual). They told us that on the way to the beach in the car they had been talking about “what is truth” and about “religion” and God. One of the ladies (probably in her early thirties) was upfront with us in saying that she walked away from her Christian faith as a child and recently converted to Islam. She even served as a leader at Sunday school in her Church. We received a word of knowledge for her that part of the reason she got disillusioned with the God of Christianity is that she was hurt by the Church and that she couldn’t relate to God as Father because of relational issues she was having with her earthly father. We also felt God leading us to share that Jesus is The Truth, and that no one can come to the Father but by Him. One of the ladies, said that she now knows what she needs to do- seek the Truth with all of her heart. The Spirit took away the spirit of deception from her spiritual eyes. T The converted muslim, still has this spirit of deception covering her eyes, so please pray for her. After our conversation we prayed for them, and they admitted that God had providentially put us on their path. Thank you Jesus.

Street Ministry

In three days, in three areas 28 people have received Jesus in the streets, been baptized, and received the Holy Spirit. Many have grown in boldness and walked into new and strengthening spiritual giftings. Prophetic words have been released over various neighborhoods as the Lord reveals His purposes in each. Disciples of Christ are being established and mny believers are coming life in Christ. Genuine “oneness” in the Bod is being seen as believers come together to work the same fields

Worship and unlocking wealth

By Eddie de Beer

We are drawing closer to the start of 40 Days of Worship, that will begin on 24 September 2017 in Cape Town. The true worship that God is seeking is very much linked to obedience and service.

We believe that this 40 Days of Worship is also part of God’s process to release Africa in her redemptive purpose! One of the biggest challenges in Africa is her tendency to beg and her inability to unlock wealth. Let us use this God-given time and opportunity to be part of the process of seeing Kingdom wealth becoming part of Africa’s inheritance. In order to take part in this redemptive unlocking of wealth we need to first understand wealth from Father’s perspective.

Wealth is more than money

From His Word the following:
But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you the power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
Deuteronomy 8:18 (AMPC)

But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
Deuteronomy 8:18 (NIV)

There are three aspects to wealth that we do not always see or recognize, men, means, and resources.
– men: a force, an army, high moral standards, righteous and courageous in the face of danger
– means: aid, channel, source, equipment, process, assets, instruments, ministry, organization, systems and buildings
– resources: money, possessions, natural resources, abilities to deal with situations

Everything belongs to God

As we grasp and understand that our perspective of wealth is contaminated with the world’s system let us ask Holy Spirit what and where we can be involved. We can then participate to unlock God’s wealth over Africa during this specific time. God does not require from us to give what we haven’t received from Him. Everything belongs to Him and we can give, bless and invest in his Kingdom as Holy Spirit leads us!

Practically we can ask the following questions and honestly answer them:
1. Am I (we as a family) locked into his forceful righteous army?
2. Do I understand and am I committed to his army (body, bride)?
3. What means have I got to offer to meet needs during the 40DoW (i.e. equipment, assets, systems, accommodation)?
4. What resources did God place under my stewardship that is for his glory? (i.e. money, possessions?

Let us glorify God as He gives us the ability to receive and unlock wealth as He intended with his redemptive purpose for Africa. May the beggar’s mentality be broken and God’s wealth be unlocked over Africa as we partake from his heart. Glory to Jesus as He paid the price in his death and resurrection for all is under his authority.

Worship is an action and attitude

August 5, 2017
By Francis Lira

This teaching is based on the story of Hannah, the mother of Samuel.

1 Samuel 1:11-21 English Standard Version (ESV)
11 And she vowed a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of your servant and remember me and not forget your servant, but will give to your servant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall touch his head.”
12 As she continued praying before the Lord, Eli observed her mouth. 13 Hannah was speaking in her heart; only her lips moved, and her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli took her to be a drunken woman. 14 And Eli said to her, “How long will you go on being drunk? Put your wine away from you.” 15 But Hannah answered, “No, my lord, I am a woman troubled in spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but I have been pouring out my soul before the Lord. 16 Do not regard your servant as a worthless woman, for all along I have been speaking out of my great anxiety and vexation.” 17 Then Eli answered, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition that you have made to him.” 18 And she said, “Let your servant find favor in your eyes.” Then the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.
19 They rose early in the morning and worshiped before the Lord; then they went back to their house at Ramah. And Elkanah knew Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her. 20 And in due time Hannah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Samuel, for she said, “I have asked for him from the Lord.” 21 The man Elkanah and all his house went up to offer to the Lord the yearly sacrifice and to pay his vow.

A change of heart
When Hannah received the word from the high priest Eli, who was the representative for the Lord her face changed and she became joyful. Like Hannah, when we receive a word from God, we must believe and we must take action. Our heart must change. We are living in the moment of the prophetic fulfillment of South Africa. We have received a word for South Africa.

It’s not about us!
Verse 17 says, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition that you have made to him.” It is important to understand, that Hannah couldn’t conceive a child by herself. And like Hannah, when we produce by ourselves, we cannot produce what the Lord wants to produce. So when God released the word over South Africa it wasn’t over a productive South Africa. It’s not about what an organization can produce here. It’s not about what man thinks he can do. So, the promise of God was released to Hannah and not to the other wife, who could naturally have children.
Our natural tendency is to look to our natural position. But Hannah went before God and presented her barren womb. When you present to God your impossibilities or lack of capacity, you must have a purpose. Hannah presented herself with a purpose. She said, if you’ll bless me and give me this child, I’ll give it back to you. She knew if God would give her what she was asking for it wasn’t for her, but for Him.

Worship during tough times
After she received the word, she went her way, she ate and she rejoiced, and early in the morning, she worshiped the Lord (verse 18 and 19). When we worship God during good times, it’s easy. When we worship God after we have received the fruit, it’s easy. But worship in the night, in the hard moments, is not easy. So, we can see that all these actions of Hannah were actions of faith.

By his Spirit all is possible
Our attitude is our response to God. We must know the promise, and we must know that He is powerful to fulfill the promise. He will not do it in the areas where we can do it ourselves. He will do it in the area where we know for sure, that we can’t do it ourselves. When you feel like, “I can’t do this. I don’t have any power. I don’t have the required condition”, then you are in the right position because then, God can use you. But our actions are important. Hannah’s actions must be our actions. She presented her unproductivity before God, and He used this empty place. And she believed in the Lord and His promise. It wasn’t after she gave birth to her child that she rejoiced and worshiped God. She did all this before. And then she conceived a child at just the right time.
The same is true for South Africa. The word will be fulfilled at the right time. And the time is now. But it is not about the name of a nation, or a person, or an organization. It is about His glory. Through His sons and daughters. God will use YOU. He used Hannah to give birth to Samuel. It wasn’t Hannah who ruled Israel; she wasn’t the queen of Israel. Samuel was the judge. And none of the words he spoke fell to the ground because God was with him (1 Samuel 3:19). Names are not important, but lives are important to God. Names don’t bear life. It’s not the letters in your name. It’s about the Spirit of God in your life. Don’t reject what God can do in and through you.
And be aware that the enemy will try to confuse you. Often it is through the people around you. The ones, who have the knowledge, who have power or hold a certain position. In Hannah’s life, it was the other wife. Married to the same husband, she was always around and she was fruitful and tried to discourage Hannah (1 Samuel 1:6 6 And her rival used to provoke her grievously to irritate her, because the Lord had closed her womb.)

Hold on to the truth and be obedient
It’s not about understanding – it’s about obedience. And it’s not about people – it’s about the promise. It’s about our relationship with God. YOU receive the word. Don’t think it’s nothing, that it’s not important, no, you need to receive it. Many people believe that change in South Africa is not possible. But that’s okay because we believe. We have received a word from God and we know that nothing is impossible for Him. So, whenever you hear someone say, this is not possible, then give these impossibilities to Him, because He knows very well how to work with it. So, everything people say to you that is against the truth is really only information. Information can be good or bad, real or false, true or not true. But the truth remains the truth.

It’s not about understanding – it’s about obedience. And it’s not about people – it’s about the promise. It’s about our relationship with God.

Many people, many generations have received blessings through Samuel. But for Samuel to come, it needed one Hannah; one impossibility. People are aware that there have been many prophecies over South Africa, but often they say, that nothing has happened yet and that it is impossible. They don’t receive the many words, prophecies, and signs given to this nation. They only look at the words, even hoping for more to come, while they say “but nothing is happening”. People don’t understand. The anointing is heavy, but the unbelief is great. But for me, it’s amazing. I don’t need many words. God has sent me to South Africa. Now is the time to receive and to worship Him. I believe in the promise of God, I believe in His word. And it will happen at the exact right time. And the time is now. But there is no big organization or church, it’s about people like Hannah. She wasn’t the offspring of a high priest, she wasn’t a royal princess – she was just a barren woman, who came before the Lord and He remembered her. God only needs one Hannah, one humble heart.

The beginning

Through this post, we intend to share what God has commissioned us to do in South Africa. We are here in this nation in obedience to the vision and direction we received from our Lord Jesus Christ.

In August 2012 the Lord gave me a vision whilst in Mozambique. I saw the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord over the map of South Africa and I saw the Angels of the Lord worshiping and circling around the Ark (for details see: https://youtu.be/cpkk5DQanK8).

Soon after that, we met a group of people from South Africa who invited us to visit their cities, to minister in their churches and to share the vision we had received.

We accepted the invitation as we felt a strong confirmation in our hearts that it was from God. The following month we ministered in South Africa for 10 days, in Cape Town and Vereeniging. After this first contact, we began to visit South Africa once a year for a period of 1 month each year. This period of time invested in South Africa was in obedience to God, to honor what He had shown us regarding His plans for South Africa, plans of Revival and the manifestation of His Glory as a result of His Presence in this nation.

As we came to South Africa to share what we had received from God, we began hearing that our message was yet another confirmation of what God has been speaking over South Africa for more than 108 years through more than 40 prophets from different nations of the world. The declaration is that the Fire of God’s Glory will ignite in Cape Town and spread throughout South Africa, to the Continent of Africa and on to all the nations of the world. See more in the following video:https://youtu.be/Ab5KDI8dMog

The question was when and how would this happen?
In November 2015, whilst on our 5th visit to South Africa, I had a second vision. This time I saw a great movement taking place in Cape Town. I saw groups of people gathering throughout the city and the Lord told me that they would worship Him for 40 days. We have now started working on implementing this project.

40 Days of Global Worship

This event, Global Worship, will take place in Cape Town and other parts of South Africa, starting 25th September until 2nd November 2017. It is a Holy Assembly of the Church of Christ, gathering to worship in Spirit and in Truth, in a focused and intense way. It will also be a personal commitment between each worshiper and the Father. People will prioritize and dedicate their time to worship the Lord publicly in malls, on beaches, on the mountains, in schools, in their workplaces or wherever the spirit leads. Each individual will worship the Lord so that all may see His Glory manifested through His Church, united in one purpose as an expression of praise and adoration for Him.

We look forward to the participation of the whole Church of Christ, His Bride, ready to honor their Bridegroom in grace, worship, and celebration.

Unity of the Body of Christ is essential, therefore our aim is to develop various connections with those who really want to worship and exalt King Jesus, the only One worthy to receive all glory and honor.

May every tongue, tribe and nation present in Cape Town during this period be united in one voice, one sound and one heart.

With Love
Francis & Mildred Lira
